'Tales and Ales' with Dr Chuck Hahn
As part of the expanded World's Greatest Pub Crawl activities this year, Dr Charles (Chuck) Hahn, Director and Brewmaster of the Malt Shovel Brewery and the name behind Hahn Beers, presents an entertaining degustation evening of beer and food matching for those with a discerning palate. The event consists of a 7 course meal accompanied by 7 beers to match each course and will take place at the Brolga Theatre on Friday 5th June at 6.30 PM. During the dinner Chuck will relay interesting and entertaining tales about beer as we dine. This amazing coup for the Fraser Coast presents a unique opportunity for a great night out. Why not organise a group from your work or business to enjoy and learn the night away. Tickets are $95 each or $90 per person for a table of 10. Prices include food, beer and entertainment and are strictly limited. There will be a celebrity auction with profits going to the McGrath Foundation to help with the costs of a Specialist Breast Cancer Nurse being based in the Fraser Coast region. Dr Charles (Chuck) Hahn, is Australia's highest profile brewer, and has been a force in Australian, New Zealand and American brewing for over 30 years. While not all Australians have had the opportunity to savour Chuck's latest offerings, delivered by way of our most exciting microbrewery - the Malt Shovel Brewery - almost all Australians would be familiar his earlier products, such as Hahn Premium and Hahn Ice. When people meet with Chuck, they find him friendly and down to earth - completely lacking in pretension but very passionate about his beer, and beer in general. He spent many years in the corporate world of brewing, then in 1998 he returned to his boutique brewery interests with the launch of the Malt-Shovel Brewery and a goal of producing handcrafted quality beers.
